Touring ANDRE + Beehive

Beehivin’

Come to the Beehive

Sunday, Oct. 2, 1 -3PM at the EUC Gallery

All Greensboro artists — including UNCG undergraduates, graduates, faculty, alumni and civilians — are invited to participate in community art event at a project we call ANDRE. The EUC will house ANDRE to not only be a place to showcase objects, but a place for spontaneity between people that creates projects, discussions, objects, and experience.

All artists who bring or make work in the space will be able to show their work in ANDRE for two weeks. On the last day of the show (Oct. 16th), ANDRE will hold a “Beehive Barter” where all artists that are in the show will be encouraged  to swap their work, a story or a secret with your fellow artist.

FOOD: eclectic     DRINKS: sweet     SOUNDZ:  funky     CONVERSATION:  indulgent.

A beginning

ANDRE is an open-ended, evolving project in the EUC Gallery at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Artists from around the world are invited to contribute to a year-long conversation between objects, the gallery space, and a virtual community built around the idea of a dialog between artists. Artists Harry Swartz-Turfle and Gabriel Forrester Serpa have begun the project as a way for artists to respond to form, generate reactions to life and politics, and engage in the present tense. ANDRE acts as a social space that is constantly in a state of becoming.
